A new neck for Josh's Strat

Josh's replacement neckRich Chaffins1 Comment

A while back, my very best guitar student asked me about building a neck for his Strat. I had already modded this beast in just about every which way possible already: replaced the pickups a couple times, installed new locking tuners, a graphite nut, put a Stellartone Tonestyler tone control in, a Super-Vee Bladerunner tremolo, a kill switch, the works. So, why not? The new neck is Indian Rosewood. It is a fat D shape with a macassar ebony fretboard, abalone side dots, and zebrawood logo/headstock "wings". A few progress pics:

Here's a video of it in action. Check out the tasty stylings of my student, Josh Martinez, and his sweet new Agape neck. Thanks!

Okay then. This one was finished up last month. Original post, complete with specs, here. The thing we did change was the model name. Working title Apollyon (mine, Greek for destroyer), final name Apophis (his, Greek translation of Apep, Egyptian god of darkness and chaos). Either way, bad news. ;) ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Really happy with the playability. Super-low action, nice thin neck (although I personally prefer big, chubby necks). The sheer amount of tones available is insane, also. 3 Guitar Logistics Diablo humbuckers with separate volume, tone, and on-off-parallel switch= sounds amazing AND super flexible. Here's the demo:

Check it, yo. Thanks!
